I was browsing for poetry... and I came across a Haiku contest and I thought "let's start a haiku thread."
FYI: Haiku is a three line poem in 5-7-5 format. That means the first line is 5 syllables, second line is 7 syllables and the third line is 5 syllables.
Okay, I'll start it off with a picture and my poem, and everyone can either create their own haiku in response to this picture, or post their own picture inspiration for their haiku (whichever you think works best for you).
Lonely starfish sits,
Belly-up on rocks and sand
Perhaps a rock star.
