Many thanks to eveyone who sent me questions for my EXCLUSIVE HAZEL O'CONNOR INTERVIEW last week, the interview was great fun and is online now if you fancy reading about that old rivalry with TOYAH, the bands she is looking forward to seeing at RETROFEST, snogging CHRISTOPHER LAMBERT, her forthcoming new material (which she's working on with MARTIN RUSHENT!), covering KYLIE and why she's looking forward to getting together with KIM WILDE among many other things... phew! DURAN DURAN are expected to appear onstage with Justin Timberlake at this weekend's Live Earth gig in London. The band will be introduced by actor Rupert Everett and will play a four-song set - see NEWS for an advance look at the band's setlist!
PRINCE will play at his hometown Minneapolis' First Avenue Club tomorrow, his first show at the venue since recording parts of the 'Purple Rain' film there twenty years ago... see NEWS on the website if you're in that part of the world and fancy getting tickets!
KYLIE MINOGUE has confirmed that she will appear in the forthcoming Christmas edition of Doctor Who which the show's writer Russell T Davis has described as 'the most ambitious and best Christmas episode yet'.
THOMAS DOLBY will release a new EP on July 17th. The 'SXSW EP' will feature five live tracks recorded at this year's South By South West Festival in AUstin, Texas. See NEWS on the website for the full tracklisting.
STATUS QUO and THE HUMAN LEAGUE are among the headliners at a three-day event in Skegness at the end of August. Status Quo will headline the first of the three shows at Skegness' Fantasy Island on August 31st while ABC, GO WEST, TONY HADLEY and BANANARAMA will join the Human League on September 2nd.
NWA's recent anthology 'The Strength Of Street Knowledge' has been reviewed in the REVIEWS section.
CURIOSITY KILLED THE CAT's BEN VOLELIERE-PEIRROT has released a dance version of the classic Curiosity hit 'Name And Number' which he has re-recorded for this version and which has been put together by remixer Element.
VAN HALEN look set to resurrect their plans for a reunion tour with former frontman DAVID LEE ROTH which were originally put on ice after guitarist and founding member EDDIE VAN HALEN went into rehab unexpectedly in March.
THE BLOW MONKEYS' frontman DR ROBERT will release a new album 'Five In The Afternoon' - a collaboration with soul singer PP ARNOLD - in September and the pair are expected to play a number of dates together around the release.
THE CURE have added more shows to their upcoming tour schedule with the announcement of gigs in Singapore and Auckland. See GIGS for the full tour itinerary so far
