KOOL AND THE GANG will headline the Sunday line-up at RetroFest it has been confirmed this week, and CURIOSITY KILLED THE CAT have been added to the bill alongside HUE AND CRY, HAZEL O'CONNOR, THE SILENCERS, THE BEAT, CUTTING CREW, KID CREOLE AND THE COCONUTS and FOUR GOOD MEN. PRINCE is thought to be in talks with the producers of the current series of 'Big Brother' about playing a gig in the house, or beaming a link to the housemates live from a London studio...
KYLIE MINOGUE tracks from the singer's forthcoming, and currently untitled album have been leaked onto the internet according to reports. Up to five songs, said to be new Kylie songs are available at 'certain download sites' and are believed to include songs with the titles 'Stars', 'Fall For You' and 'Sensitized'.
HAPPY MONDAYS have finally revealed that their comeback album will be called 'Unkle Dysfunktional' and will be released towards the end of the summer. The band have also announced a UK tour in September and October in support of the album's release. See GIGS for all the dates.
ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN will play their annual Christmas show at Liverpool's Academy on December 8th this year.
PAUL WELLER is to be presented with Nordoff-Robbins' prestigious Silver Clef Award at the charity's annual ceremony in London on June 29th.
THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN have said that they expect to go into the studio shortly to record a new album, the first new material from the recently reunited band since 1998.
BONNIE TYLER and JERMAINE JACKSON are among artists who have recorded tracks for a charity album, 'Over The Rainbow', released this week to support children's hospices throughout the UK.

FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD singer HOLLY JOHNSON has lost a legal battle to prevent his former bandmates from using the FGTH name since their recent reunion with a new singer after Johnson refused to return to the line-up.
DURAN DURAN's NICK RHODES has customised a Fender Stratocaster guitar which was auctioned in support of the Keep A Child Alive charity. Other celebrities to customise guitars include BONO and BRYAN ADAMS. Nick Rhodes' guitar fetched over £3200.
THE CURE will play nineteen US shows this Autumn in addition to a festival appearances at San Francisco's Download Festival on October 6th. Dates will be announced shortly.
THE POLICE and BON JOVI have been lined up for a new series of MTV's 'Unplugged'...
MICHAEL JACKSON is rumoured to have turned down an offer from MICHAEL JACKSON for the two artists to tour together later this year.
THE CULT will release a new album in the Autumn, their first since 2001's 'Beyond Good and Evil', in September and have signed a new recording deal with The Roadrunner label for the release.
JOE JACKSON has said that he will start work on a new album this year and plans to go into a Berlin studio in a few weeks to start recording the latest studio set.

KATRINA AND THE WAVES' singer KATRINA LESKANICH has recorded a version of THE CLASH's 'Hitsville UK' for a new tribute album 'The Sandinista! Project' which features thirty-six versions of tracks from The Clash's classic 'Sandinista!' album reinterpreted by a line-up of artists that also includes CAMPER VAN BEETHOVEN and THE SMITHEREENS.
