I was rumaging around through DDM and found out about a very unfortunate incident at Hammerstien: one DDM VIP got booted in favor of another! What a
clusterfuck!
Instead of laying the blame squarely where it belonged, on DDM, the two offended members started ragging on each other. It was really sad to see.
Too often we Duranies tend to turn our anger at each other, rather than at the shitty service given by DDM. I think about the gals that forked out 365 dollars to get exactly five feet in front of me, or WAYYYYY behind me in the upper deck. It seemed really unfair and sad. And the way they let the VIPs in! One big mass ran for the stage, rather than the orderly GA admission, which went off without a hitch, because we were let in a few at a time based upon when we lined up. I guess the Hammerstien security had a clue outside.
I also felt really bad for the VIP at check in. Some waited in line for almost an hour to get in. That is clearly unacceptable in my book.
I'm glad I didn't go VIP. I got to stand in line and chat my head off with my girls! I met some new girls! I had a blast being drug into the venue by Teajay to use the bathroom as we pretended to be picking up Will Call tickets (and seeing the stage prior to entry). I'm really considering never doing VIP again.
I would love to have had the bag that DDM gave out to the VIPs, but I have a ton of junk from my previous VIP venture which I am too possessed with the actually USE. The last thing I need is more Duran stuff. I have enough.
So, whether to VIP or not? Jury is still out.
